METHODOLOGY
The project adopts a multidisciplinary approach, applying both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The aforementioned set follows a multidisciplinary orientation, according to the principles intrinsic to the social sciences applied to tourism. Therefore, the following methodological criteria are determined:
- Holistic and integrated approach;
- Historical and diachronic approach (specifically, the tourism destination’s life cycle);
- Territorial approach to tourism;
- Pluridisciplinary, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach;
- The research strategy is multi-methodological, privileging mixed techniques (qualitative and quantitative);
- The research project design is participatory, involving social actors in the research process;
- The research outcomes will contribute to the coordination, management and planning of touristic activities, promoting a technological and organizational innovation that improves the relationship and the communication between supply and demand.
